Invitation to the curious in books.  To spread the influence
of science, extend the benefits of learning, enlighten the
mind absorbed in ignorance, and enrich it with the blessings
of knowledge. . . [18 lines extolling the benefits of
reading books.]
The Subscriber begs leave to inform the patrons of
literature in general, that he has now on hand, and for
sale, at his book-store, the sign of the Bible, second door
above the old coffee-house, Market-Street, Baltimore, a very
large and valuable collection of books . . . [6 lines]
Note.  The newest plays, magazines, reviews, and other
periodical British and American publications, down to the
present year.
Since 'tis a Godlike attribute to know.
  Visit our store of learning ere you go;
Tho' small it seems-- you'll find within a feast,
  I'm confident will suit each diff'rent taste.
Come take a peep-- you're welcome first to try
  Our diff'rent sort of food before you buy.
